After you have found the question that you want to answer, and you have gathered the information for the answer, you are ready to write the outline.

This outline is the structure of your page. It’s basic to English, and probably every other language on the planet. However, many people are lazy and don’t do this before writing their article.

This gets them into a lot of needless trouble. It often allows the information to take direction of their article. It’s best to determine what you want to say before you begin writing.

This means you first want to put yourself in the mind of the searcher and ask yourself why did they ask this question? What is their next question?

When you can answer their next question, you will have written a more helpful article and you will have been more helpful. This also allows you to make a relevant suggestion for affiliate marketing.

This structure is also key to HTML and any WordPress post. Take this example:

<h2>h2</h2>

<h3>h3</h3>

<h4>h4</h4>

<h5>h5</h5>
<h6>h6</h6>

<p>p</p>

The h1 is reserved for the title of the page, is usually the largest, and there should only be one of them per page.

You will notice that my h3 is larger than the h2. This is one exception. The reason for this is that I use them backwards. Why? After years of SEO testing, the h3 gets much more attention from Google than the h2. This is probably because people use the h2 for basically everything. Only when they talk about things in greater detail (which is what Google likes) do they use the h3. That, however, as I said, is an exception.

Make a list of the points you want to cover. These are your h2 headlines. Then make some two or three points under each h2 headline. These are your h3 subheads.

As much as possible, use the exact wording of the search terms you found that have weak answers that are related to your main search term. By doing this, your article can rank for several search terms.

Now, all you have to do is write a paragraph or two under each subhead. We cover that next.
